Review by hotel critic
Staying at Trastevere Colors Bed & Breakfast was a delightful choice during our first visit to Rome. Ideally located in the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood, it's a stone's throw from authentic local eateries and just a half-hour stroll to major attractions like the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The B&B is run by a lovely mother-daughter duo, Carolina and Alessandra, who genuinely care for their guests. A highlight was the communal breakfast experience, where we enjoyed local pastries and fresh produce while mingling with fellow travellers. They provide helpful recommendations for sightseeing and dining - something I truly appreciate as a travel writer keen on discovering the essence of a location. Our suite was comfortable with charming décor, and amenities like an electric kettle and flat-screen TV added to the convenience. The heating and air conditioning ensured a pleasant atmosphere after long days of exploring. The location did offer better value compared to high-end hotels, while still delivering a personal touch that fosters a welcoming sense of community. For anyone considering a stay in Rome, Trastevere Colors presents a balanced mix of comfort and affordability, making it a wise financial choice for beginner Rome visitors.
